Free printable dollhouse rugs: how to make miniatures on a budget

[dollhouse DIY rugs]

I feel that with dollhouse miniatures, it is never the case of “less is more”, but most often “more is more”.
The more details in the miniature rooms, the more real they would look.
There are thousands of dollhouse accessories we can have, but if you aren’t sure where to start, start with things on the floor!
And rugs are really easy and fun to DIY with miniature printables.

Placing a rug can do the trick of updating the rooms and instantly change the feel of the room, especially if it’s a big piece.

Rugs with bold design and colour can transform the dollhouse interior completely

In these images, I have printed the template onto some printable fabric sheets (yes, with my standard inkjet printer!) that I bought on Amazon.

Printable fabrics are a great way to add more texture to the dollhouse interior.
Many of them come with adhesive backing if you want to place the rugs permanently onto your dollhouse miniatures floor.
