How to make free dollhouse flooring pattern: Herringbone Pink
[Free Dollhouse flooring printables]
We are in the midst of another long lockdown in Melbourne (Australia), which is the 6th that we have. Our total of lockdown days is currently at 220 days! Schools, child care and kindergarten are closed, only “essential” stores are open and restaurants are closed for dine-ins. Parents and carers continue to home school children while many juggle with work. We can’t wait for this to end as we scroll through enviously at images of people travelling in some parts of the northern hemisphere.
Since we are stuck at home and googling is the best thing after eating, I have been looking into what miniature fans are searching for – and one of the things people seem to be looking for is the flooring for dollhouse.

I have shared dollhouse flooring before, but I think it’s something we can never have enough of! It’s really easy to change the dollhouse interior completely by changing the dollhouse flooring. Which is why I don’t glue the floor printables – unlike the wallpaper, there is no need to! Just slide it under the furnitures and voila! the “reno” is done.
[Pink Herringbone flooring pattern]
What I am sharing with you today is a herringbone flooring pattern in 1:6th scale and 1:12th scale in pink. Printing on plain copy paper can work just fine, however below are what I used in the images.
Type of paper For a tile look I like to use glossy photo paper. The shiny surface of the paper instantly gives that look and I love it in the kitchen or the bathroom. In the images I used Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy ll (PP-301) with a Canon colour printer. For a matt look, I recommend using matt photo paper (Canon Matte Photo Paper MP-101) For the best result, it would be ideal to use your printer brand’s photo paper.
Types of ink and adhesives If you are using an inkjet printer, try using paper glue stick or apply Mod Podge thinly. Using wet glue like glue paste may smudge the ink or crease the paper.
Laser printer ink is made of plastic so the print should stay intact with most (if not all) types of glue.
