How to make soft drink cans with paper: DIY food for dolls house

[Miniature food printables]

We have had way more takeout food than we ever have since the pandemic hit, especially during lockdowns and home schooling.
(I am sure we are not alone in this and I can sense your nods!)

Even then the amount of time spent in the kitchen has increased exponentially, and the amount of food packaging!
The effort of reducing the amount of packaging and waste has pretty much gone out the window in all of this.

Of which, has brought my miniature attention to the food for dolls house.
I started working on a range of fun miniature dolls food and takeout food templates and this week I’ve created some soft drink cans and bulk box designs.

Drink cans and bulk boxes in 1/6th and 1/12th scales

[what i used for the project]

I have shied away from using glossy photo paper in my recent projects but for these soft drink cans, glossy is the way to go!
If you use glossy firm paper, hot glue will work best especially with small items like these.
For the bulk boxes I used firm matt photo paper and strong glue stick.
Also included in the templates are soft drink labels which you can attach to your miniatures if you own some miniature drink cans already.
